made of?
Portable modular buildings are
made from an aluminium frame that conforms to British Building
Regulations. The roof is made from PVC that can either be
insulated or non insulated. There is a choice of walls from
insulated foam sandwich panel or simple steel cladding.
Both the roof and the walls are fire retardant.
Do you need planning permission?
Planning permission is required for any portable
buildings that are erected for more than 28 days.
The local councils are often friendly towards temporary
buildings as they can be relocated to another site
within days unlike permanent metal buildings. We are able to supply
detailed CAD drawings to assist with planning permission.
How secure are the buildings?
Our modular buildings are often
described as semi permanent buildings therefore the buildings
are extremely secure with lockable roller shutter doors
and pedestrian doors. Additional security devices can be
added to the portable building if required.
How are they erected?
The temporary buildings are erected
using forklift and scissor lift with a minimum crew of 4
men. Typically a portable building
can be erected and fully operational on you site within
days from you placing an order.
What service do they need to be erected on?
Temporary Buildings can be erected
on almost any type of surface providing that the surface
is relatively level and accessible. This means that portable
buildings offer the most flexible solution at your

Will they require heating and lighting?
As a rule temporary buildings
will require some lighting and heating. The level of lighting
and heating required will be determind by what you will
be using the portable building
for.
Are the buildings relocatable?
Yes they are and this allows the
temporary buildings to
be moved around on your site to suit your own requirements
and deadlines.
