| Portable Building
Installation
Installing a portable building at your
site requires a close working relationship with all parties
involved in the project to ensure that the portable building
is delivered and fully operational within the agreed time
scale.
Typically a temporary building can be
delivered & installed within days of order.
Initially
a detailed site survey will be carried out to determine that
the structure fits the site’s configurations. Ground
conditions will be assessed which will determine the type of
anchorage used to fix the structure securely to the ground.
An underground services scan will be conducted to check for
gas pipes and electrical wires are not directly under the
proposed site for the portable building.
On delivery
of the portable building the A Frame is built on the ground
and once complete this is lifted into position using a
telehandler and scissor lift. This is then locked into
position using a diagonal bracing bar before the next A
Frame is lifted in position.
On completion of the
portable building the Roof and Diagonal Wall bracings and
purlins are fixed into position securing the first 2 A
frames into position.
The above procedure is then
carried out until the structure is complete. At this stage
the roof, walls, Roller Shutter Doors and Pedestrian Doors
will be installed.
To ensure crew and site safety the
crew are supplied with the correct protective equipment from
hard hats, steel capped boots and harnesses for the scissor
lift.
A detailed Method Statement and Risk Assessment
are sent to the client prior to delivery of the portable
temporary building.
